Bio
Why I chose Family Medicine: I chose family medicine because it brings together all of my passions into one specialty. I love caring for both children and older adults, and family medicine gives me the opportunity to care for patients through every stage of life. I also enjoy women’s health and appreciate the flexibility of the specialty, which allows me to shape my practice around the patient populations and areas of medicine I am most passionate about. Most importantly, family medicine allows me to provide comprehensive care while building meaningful, long-term relationships with individuals and families. I look forward to becoming an active part of my community and caring for generations of families. Why I chose IUSM at Deaconess Memorial: I chose this program because of its strong commitment to serving the community, which aligns closely with my own values. As an unopposed residency, it offers abundant hands-on learning opportunities and the chance to develop confidence through broad clinical experience. I am excited to care for a diverse patient population, which will prepare me to practice comprehensive medicine in the future. My goal is to work in a rural community, making this program an excellent fit for my career aspirations. Additionally, this is my husband’s hometown, so having the support of family nearby will provide a strong foundation as I begin residency. Personal interest and hobbies: Outside of medicine, I enjoy staying active through running, hiking, and swimming. During the summer, I love spending time at the lake and taking advantage of the outdoors. I also enjoy cooking with my husband and spending time with our golden retriever, Daisy. Most importantly, I cherish spending quality time with my friends and family.
