Bio

Why I chose Family Medicine: I chose family medicine because I wanted to be someone people know and trust in their community, not just one stop in a long chain of specialists. I like getting to know patients over the years and being part of their life through all the different things that come up, instead of only focusing on one body part or one kind of visit. I also love that no two days look the same. Family medicine gives you the variability and the flexibility to build a practice around what actually matters to you and your patients. Why I chose IUSM at Deaconess Memorial: I chose the IUSM Jasper Family Medicine program because it felt like coming home, in the best sense. I grew up here, and being able to return and train in a community that already means so much to me was a huge draw. Beyond that, the people in this program genuinely want you to succeed. It’s a small, close-knit environment where faculty and staff know you by name and are invested in your growth, not just your performance. That combination of community and support made it an easy choice. Personal interests and hobbies:  Outside of medicine, I love spending time outdoors hiking and staying active on the pickleball court. But most of all, I value time with the people who matter most to me, including my family, my friends, my wife, and our new puppy.
