Bio
Why I chose Family Medicine: I have always been drawn to the kind of medicine where relationships matter just as much as diagnoses. Family medicine allows me to be present for the full story of a patient’s life, from their earliest moments to their later years, while building trust and continuity across generations. I am inspired by the breadth of the specialty and the ability to care for the whole person, not just a single condition. My strong interest in mental health and preventive care shapes how I approach medicine, and family medicine gives me the space to integrate these passions into thoughtful, holistic care for every patient I meet. Why I chose the IU Family Medicine Residency Program: IU Health Indianapolis stood out to me for its balance of rigorous academic training and exposure to a diverse and complex patient population. The longitudinal behavioral health curriculum and Lifestyle Medicine track strongly align with my goal of practicing holistic, prevention-focused care. Being close to family was also an important part of my decision and made this program feel like home. After meeting the residents and faculty, I felt a genuine sense of support, collaboration, and shared purpose, which confirmed that IU is the environment where I can grow into the physician I aspire to be. Interests and hobbies: Outside of medicine, I enjoy capturing moments through photography, practicing yoga, traveling to experience new cultures, dancing, and listening to music.
