Why I chose Family Medicine: I chose family medicine because I value the relationships you build with patients over time and the chance to care for people through every stage of life. My experiences, especially working with underserved communities, showed me how much factors like access, cost, and health literacy shape someone’s health. I want to be a physician who not only treats illness but understands the bigger picture of my patients’ lives. Family medicine feels like the best fit for that—where I can focus on prevention, continuity, and being a consistent, trusted presence for my patients and their families. Why I chose the IU Arnett Family Medicine Residency Program: I chose the IU Arnett Family Medicine Residency because it offers a strong balance of academic support and a close-knit, community-based training environment. I’m drawn to its broad, hands-on training and emphasis on patient-centered care, which will allow me to grow into a well-rounded physician. Personal interests and hobbies: I love spending time with my husband and family—they’re my favorite people to relax, laugh, and recharge with. I also have a passion for traveling and exploring new places around the world, always chasing new adventures, cultures, and experiences.
