Bio

Dr. Sartawi is originally from Amman, Jordan and moved to the U.S. at 18 to pursue a career in medicine. She attended the University of Florida for medical school, where she discovered her passion for pediatrics while serving at a student-run free clinic. She loves helping children live healthy childhoods and is drawn to acute care, including PEM, PICU, hospitalist medicine, and pediatric hematology-oncology with a sprinkle of global health.  Tala is couples matching at IU with her husband and is excited to embrace life in the Midwest (and the seasons). Outside of medicine, she enjoys drawing, painting, cooking, exploring new cafes and restaurants, and discovering the outdoors with her husband. She also loves a good game night and spending quality time with her friends and family.
