Bio

Why I chose Family Medicine: When I think about the kind of doctor I want to be, I see myself as a family physician.Family Medicine feels like the heart of healthcare because it allows me to care for people of all ages and backgrounds. I enjoy building lasting relationships with patients at every stage of their lives. I am passionate about providing holistic care that goes beyond just physical health, addressing emotional and social well-being as well. The versatility of Family Medicine enables me to work with diverse populations, manage various conditions, and focus on prevention, which aligns with my strong commitment to improving community health.

Why I chose the IU Family Medicine Residency Program: I was drawn to the IU Family Medicine Residency Program because of the unique sub-specialty tracks it offers. The ability to tailor my residency experience based on the kind of physician I want to become was crucial, and the program’s flexibility stood out. After my interview, I was impressed by the warmth and welcoming nature of the faculty and residents. They took the time to truly understand who I was as an applicant, which spoke volumes about the supportive environment I would be training in. I’m also excited about the opportunity to train in the heart of Indiana and gain exposure to various cases at such a respected institution.

Interests and hobbies: One of my hobbies is exploring history and culture through travel. I love visiting new places, trying different cuisines, and staying active with fitness. Additionally, I enjoy discovering local museums and finding hidden gems in my community.

Languages I speak fluently: English and Igbo
