Bio

Why I chose Family Medicine: I chose family medicine because of the wide scope of practice and the ability to have continuity of care with my patients and form genuine relationships with them over time. I love that in family medicine I will be working not only to treat disease but also practicing preventative medicine to help my patients preserve their overall health and well-being.

Why I chose IU School of Medicine IU Health Arnett Family Medicine Residency Program? I had very positive interactions with all the faculty and residents I met during the interview process. I was drawn to the longitudinal curriculum that provides repeated exposure to key topics in family medicine which aligns with the balanced training experience I was looking for. When I had the chance to visit for the Second Look event, I saw the genuine camaraderie among faculty and residents and appreciated how the program prioritizes resident wellness.

Personal interests and hobbies: Going to the gym, walking, trying new restaurants, traveling, and watching Nollywood movies.

Clinical interests: Women’s health, preventative medicine, sports medicine, and treating the medically underserved.
