Bio

Why I chose Family Medicine: As I completed my clinical rotations I realized this was less a decision about what I wanted to do and more about what I was willing to give up. Family Medicine allows me the broadest scope of practice of any specialty. This is especially true the in rural settings where I grew up and want to practice.

Why I chose the IU School of Medicine Family Medicine Residency Program at Memorial: I was drawn to the program because it combined the best aspects of a rural setting with the backing of a well-respected academic institution like IU. I was impressed with the broad flexibility the program offers its residents. What put it over the top, however, was the warm and friendly attitude of everyone I met during my interview and initial visit. The city, hospital, and residency faculty make Jasper an exceptional place to train.

Personal interests and hobbies: I am a classically trained vocalist and love music generally. I enjoy outdoor activities and participating in Idaho’s dog mushing events. When not otherwise occupied, you can often find me exploring a part of Indiana that I haven’t been able to enjoy yet.
