Bio

Why I chose Family Medicine: I chose family medicine because I believe in its power to help communities reach the goal of optimal health and wellness. In family medicine, doctors and patients weave a bond of trust and care, one that lasts and helps guide us toward that goal. Plus, I couldn’t settle on just one thing I loved — I wanted to learn about everything! What’s amazing is it that family medicine allows me to care for patients at every stage of life, from their very first breath to the wisdom of old age and even be part of welcoming new life into the world! So, family medicine felt like the perfect fit for me.

Why I chose the IU Family Medicine Residency Program: During my FM rotation at IU, I really enjoyed working with the faculty and co-residents. They were not only great mentors but also a fantastic support system. I saw the positive impact the faculty and residents had on their patients, and that’s something I want to carry forward in my own career.

Interests and hobbies: Trying new foods, going on long drives, drawing, repurposing items to reduce waste, reading thriller/horror books.

Languages I speak fluently: English, Punjabi and Hindi
