Bio
Why I chose Family Medicine: I chose family medicine because it offers the perfect blend of all I love about medicine – a broad-scope practice, continuity of care, and a holistic approach to patient well-being. I am drawn to the specialty’s versatility, which allows me to integrate preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care while truly understanding my patients’ unique needs. Family medicine empowers us to be more than healers; we become trusted advocates and educators. I am excited to dedicate my career to this field, building lasting relationships and making a meaningful impact in my patients’ lives.
Why I chose the IU Arnett Family Medicine Residency Program: I chose the IU Arnett Family Medicine Residency Program because of its strong commitment to education, collaboration, and resident well-being. From my first interactions with the program, I felt welcomed by the supportive environment. I appreciate the emphasis on comprehensive training while maintaining a culture where physicians can thrive both professionally and personally. Having moved from Brazil to the Lafayette area a few years ago, I have grown to love this community, and I am deeply grateful for the sense of belonging it has given me.
Personal interests and hobbies: Outside of medicine, I love spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy staying active and exercising, crocheting stuffed animals, and sourdough baking.
Languages I am fluent in: English, Portuguese
