Katherine L. Wade, MD

Bio

Dr. Katherine Wade was born and raised in Morris, IL. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Illinois. She also earned minor degrees in Chemistry and Spanish Linguistics. She enjoys any opportunity to speak Spanish with her patients and hopes to become certified as an interpreter. Katherine attended Southern Illinois University for medical school where she was involved in teaching, curriculum development, advocacy, and research. Research interests included PCOS, FGR, and maternal health outcomes. She is passionate about women’s health, health equity, and improving maternal health outcomes.

Katherine is overjoyed to train at Indiana University for OB/GYN residency. She plans on becoming an academic generalist after graduation. Her husband, Pete, is also a pediatrics resident at IU. They are excited to continue their training together at IU and to explore Indianapolis with their goldendoodle Daisy. In her free time, Katherine enjoys spending time with her family and friends, running, swimming, golfing, sailing, and traveling.
