Students pursuing a master's degree in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at IU School of Medicine must complete didactic coursework, a research rotation and a research project and thesis. MS students will also participate in the departmental seminar series and the student Research in Progress seminar series. All students should consult the Graduate School Bulletin for general requirements of the graduate school and for detailed requirements of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology.
Required Didactic Coursework
Students must complete 18-21 credit hours of didactic coursework in addition to 9-12 research credits, for a total of at least 30 credit hours.
