About Kathryn
Kathryn joined the Office of Gift Development in 2007. In her role, she is responsible for fundraising for the Department of Medicine. The largest department in the School of Medicine, it encompasses cardiology, clinical pharmacology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, geriatrics, hepatology, infectious disease, internal medicine, nephrology, pulmonology and rheumatology. In addition, she is the lead IU fundraiser for the Cardiovascular Institute.
Her fundraising career began at the American Heart Association in 1998, where she worked in territories covering Southern Indiana and Illinois running heart walks and school-based fundraising efforts. Later, she worked in development for the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and the United Way of Central Indiana as the Tocqueville Society fundraising director.
Kathryn graduated from Indiana University in 1997 with a physical education and recreation degree from the School of Health. She and her husband Mike (BS ‘98, JD ‘04) live in Greenwood, IN and have four children, two of whom are also IU graduates. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
