Bio
Dr. Stewart received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN and her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, FL. She subsequently completed her anesthesiology residency at Indiana University School of Medicine in 2013. Following her residency, she joined the faculty at University Hospital, where she continues to work, in addition to serving at Methodist Hospital and Riley Maternal Tower. In October 2018, Dr. Stewart became the Residency Program Director, where she has focused on improving resident education and enhancing the overall training experience.
In her role as Vice Chair of Education, Dr. Stewart oversees the department’s educational programs, including medical student education, the residency program, fellowship programs, and the student anesthetist training program. She is enthusiastic about further elevating educational initiatives and shaping the future of anesthesia training for all learners, while fostering a culture of support and mentorship.
Outside of work, Dr. Stewart enjoys spending time with her husband, two young boys, and their menagerie of animals. She also likes working out, reading, and spending time outdoors.
