Bio
Sara E. Hensley, MD, currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Acute Care Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. Dr. Hensley received her medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine.
Prior to joining Indiana University, Dr. Hensley completed her general surgery training at the University of Florida, followed by surgical critical care fellowship at the University of Cincinnati.
Her clinical focus is in trauma, emergency general surgery, and surgical critical care.
Dr. Hensley’s current research interest is in quality improvement in the surgical intensive care unit. She has served as a co-investigator on more than eight peer-reviewed publications during her education and training.
Dr. Hensley is a member of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma.
