Bio
Brian Lee, MD, PhD, is a psychiatrist with clinical responsibilities in the Goodman Hall Adult Clinic and Riley Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic. He earned his B.S. in Medical Microbiology and Music Performance from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and both his M.D. and Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Medicine from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Lee completed his residency in psychiatry at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he also served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Lee’s research has focused on the molecular and clinical underpinnings of schizophrenia and related psychotic disorders, including the role of clozapine in treatment resistant schizophrenia and suicide prevention. His work has been published in leading journals and has received multiple honors, including the American Psychiatric Association Area 3 Resident-Fellow Member Merit Award.
Dr. Lee provides outpatient psychiatric evaluations and treatment for adolescents and young adults, with a focus on early psychosis and major mood disorders. He collaborates with clinic and departmental leadership to develop specialized services that expand access to evidence-based care for these populations.
