Bio
Dr. Tera F. Howard, MD, MPH, specializes in obstetrics and gynecology, where she has particular interest and expertise in operative delivery, vaginal hysterectomy and breastfeeding. She earned her medical doctorate at Vanderbilt University as well as a master's in public health in 2011. Dr. Howard completed her OB/GYN residency at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in 2015. She is currently an associate professor for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Indiana University School of Medicine, as well as the assistant dean of graduate medical education for the department. Dr. Howard is an ABOG examiner and on the board of directors for the Society of Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology (SASGOG). Dr. Howard chose to become an academic specialist in general obstetrics and gynecology because she loves medicine and taking care of women. She also enjoys training the next generation of physicians.
