Bio


Dr. Destiny Folk was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. She graduated from North Carolina State University in 2017 and completed medical school at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC in 2021. She completed her emergency medicine residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. At residency graduation, she was recognized with the Darren Bean Resident Teaching Award and the Jeff Kelin Outstanding Resident Research Achievement Award. In 2024, she received the SAEM Resident Teacher Award. She joined the Indiana University School of Medicine's Department of Emergency Medicine in 2024. Her areas of interest and scholarship include medical student and physician wellness and education. Outside of medicine, Destiny enjoys spending time with her family & friends, going for walks with her dog, traveling, rock climbing, and reading.
