Bio

Alexandru C Barboi, MD is a professor of neurology at Indiana School of Medicine. He joined the Department of Neurology faculty in 2024. Dr. Barboi is a dedicated educator. His clinical care and research focus is in autonomic and neuromuscular disorders.

Dr. Barboi graduated from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Carol Davila in Bucharest, Romania. He completed a categorical internal medicine residency at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, Illinois, followed by a neurology residency and clinical neurophysiology fellowship at Rush University in Chicago. Dr. Barboi is board certified in internal medicine, neurology, clinical neurophysiology, neuromuscular medicine and in autonomic disorders.

When not working, Dr. Barboi loves outdoor hiking and philosophy.
