Bio
Andrea Decker, PhD, is a clinical psychologist who will provide outpatient psychology services at the Goodman Hall Adult Clinic.
Dr. Decker joined the Department of Psychiatry as a faculty member after completing her psychology internship and postdoctoral fellowship in clinical psychology with the department. She earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology with a health concentration from the University of Alabama, where her research examined interpersonal relationships, sleep, and cardiovascular health, and she holds a BS in Neuroscience from The Ohio State University.
Dr. Decker’s clinical interests include health psychology, sleep disorders, trauma, adjustment to chronic and complex medical conditions, and the relationship between physical and psychological health. Her scholarly work has examined sleep health, interpersonal relationships, discrimination and stress.
Dr. Decker will provide outpatient evaluations, psychological treatments, testing, consultation, and other psychological services for adults with a broad range of behavioral health needs. Her background in health psychology and interdisciplinary care supports an integrated approach to helping patients manage psychological concerns alongside complex medical conditions.
