Dr. Kristine Towns is a graduate of Purdue Veterinary School. She has spent 17 years in clinical medicine while practicing emergency medicine, shelter medicine, and general medicine. She served as adjunct professor for Purdue's Shelter Medicine Program, instrucitng 4th year veterinary students in management and prevention of infectious disease with a focus on appropriate disinfection techniques. Students also received extensive surgical training during these rotations. Dr. Towns also assisted in managing the VCA interns for general practice rotations. A post-doctoral residency was completed through IUSM, Purdue, and Eli Lilly to culminate in ACLAM board-certification. Free time is spent assisting with 4-H livestock programs, growing cut flowers to give away, and hiking/backpacking.
