Bio

Dr. Oniah has completed global medical studies, starting with a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Lagos in Nigeria. She did her internship and residency in Family Medicine at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in New York and also served as chief resident.

She went on to manage a full caseload of patients and lead clinical operations as the Site Medical Director of Indiana Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) focused on ambulatory care for underserved populations for eight years. Dr. Oniah started with Methodist Hospital in 2010 and has served on numerous leadership positions in the hospital and became the president of medical staff in 2020-2022. With an interest in impacting hospital operations and healthcare delivery on a broader level, Dr. Oniah also completed her Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration and was recently appointed the residency program director in 2024.
