Anna L. Kiernicki-Sklar, MD, MBA

Bio

A native of the Region, Dr. Kiernicki-Sklar has served as an assistant professor of clinical emergency medicine since 2021 and brings experience in clinical care, administration, patient safety and medical education. In her role as associate director of IU School of Medicine—Northwest-Gary, she joins the school's senior leadership team and will oversee the clinical curriculum, enhance co-curricular programming, and supervise clinical faculty and staff at the Northwest-Gary campus. She is also an emergency physician at Advocate Christ Medical Center and an ultrasound educator. Dr. Kiernicki-Sklar holds an MD and BA from Northwestern University, an MBA from IU Kelley School of Business, and lives in Munster with her husband.
