Bio
Dr. Rebecca Cohen grew up in New Jersey and attended Columbia University, where she majored in music while completing pre-med requirements. She attended the Mount Sinai School of Medicine (now the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai), graduating in 2002. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine-Primary Care at Montefiore Medical Center of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2005 and served as chief resident of Montefiore’s Internal Medicine Primary Care/Social Medicine program from 2005-2006. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and since 2006 has been practicing in Bloomington, Indiana with IU Health Medical Group (formerly Internal Medicine Associates and Premier Healthcare). She has a special interest in geriatrics and served as the medical director of Bell Trace Health and Living Center from 2008 to 2015. Throughout her time in Bloomington, she has been on the clinical faculty of the Indiana University School of Medicine. She is passionate about medical education and will direct the continuity clinic as part of the Core Faculty for Bloomington’s Internal Medicine residency program. She is married with two children. When not working, she enjoys time in the sunshine, taking walks with family and friends, attending IU events, and occasionally finding time to play the flute
