Bio
Dr. Peter Mavrelis, MD, is a retired gastroenterologist who now focus on colon cancer prevention by teaching patients and physicians on all ways to screen for and prevent colon cancer. He graduated with a BA in Chemistry from the University of Chicago in 1972 followed by medical school at the Washington university School of Medicine in St. Louis, graduating in 1976. Dr. Mavrelis completed an internal medicine and gastroenterology residency and fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He has practiced for over 30 years and still active in doing screening colonoscopies at Methodist Hospitals in Northwest Indiana.
