Bio
Jennifer A. Belsky, DO, MS, is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and an attending physician at Riley Hospital for Children, where she serves as the Lead of the Pediatric and Adolescent Young Adult Leukemia/Lymphoma Team. Her clinical practice focuses on the care of children and adolescent young adults with acute leukemias or lymphomas, with particular expertise in higher-risk and rare malignant hematologic conditions, including peripheral T-cell malignancies.
Dr. Belsky’s research program aligns closely with her clinical work and centers on improving survival, outcomes, and quality of life for patients undergoing cancer therapy. A key emphasis of her clinical investigation is medical supportive care and cancer control, with the goal of reducing treatment-related toxicities and optimizing the chemotherapy experience for children with cancer. She leads supportive care initiatives within the department and conducts clinical research targeting acute and long-term toxicities, including chemotherapy-induced neurotoxicity, constipation, nausea, and vomiting. Her investigations place special focus on vincristine-associated side effects and on improving pain assessment and supportive care strategies for younger children through the use of biomarkers and enhanced patient-reported outcome measures.
