Bio

Xuepeng Wang, PhD, is an Assistant Research Professor of Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine. His research focuses on hematopoietic stem cell biology, leukemia, and the molecular mechanisms that regulate normal and malignant hematopoiesis.

His work investigates how oxygen availability, metabolic regulation, and intracellular signaling pathways influence hematopoietic stem cell function, with the goal of improving stem cell transplantation outcomes. His research also explores the roles of signaling networks in leukemia cell biology, including their potential contributions to leukemic cell growth, survival, migration, and interactions with the bone marrow microenvironment.

Through these complementary research directions, he aims to advance our understanding of hematopoietic regulation and identify new strategies to improve stem cell transplantation and develop targeted approaches for hematologic malignancies.
