Bio
Dr. Syril Keena Que, a board-certified dermatologist and Harvard-trained Mohs surgeon, is Director of Dermatologic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology and Associate Professor of Clinical Dermatology at the Indiana University School of Medicine. She is also Program Director of the Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology fellowship at Indiana University.
She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, received her medical degree with Honors from the New York University School of Medicine, and served as Chief Resident during her dermatology residency at UConn, where she received an Outstanding Resident award. She subsequently completed a fellowship in Mohs surgery and dermatologic oncology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. During her time at the Dana Farber, she was involved in oncology clinical trials for locally advanced and metastatic skin cancers. She also obtained a Master of Public Health degree at the Harvard School of Public Health.
Dr Que specializes in skin cancer surgery, including Mohs surgery and facial reconstruction for the treatment of basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. Her other clinical interests include melanoma surgery, treatment of rare skin tumors, and skin cancers in high-risk populations, including patients with organ transplants, leukemia/lymphoma, and other forms of chronic immunosuppression. Her expertise also includes cosmetic dermatology, including Botox, fillers, scar revision, and laser surgery.
Dr. Que has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and lectured at national and international dermatology meetings. She regularly instructs medical students, residents, and other physicians in skin cancer surgery. She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs Surgery, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
