Bio

Bio

Dr. Yu obtained his Ph.D. from the Institute Pasteur of Shanghai, where his studies were primarily focused on elucidating the role of host metabolism in regulating the infectious cycle of the hepatitis C virus. After completing his Ph.D., Dr. Yu pursued postdoctoral studies at Indiana University School of Medicine from 2018 to 2023. Subsequently, he transitioned into the role of an assistant research professional in the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics. Dr. Yu's research interests are diverse and revolve around the field of cancer research. He is particularly enthusiastic about investigating oncolytic viruses, cancer cell metabolism, and immunometabolism. Currently, his research is primarily focused on identifying metabolic targets through the use of bioinformatical tools, in vitro screening methods, and cell/animal models for the advancement of tumor-targeted therapy and immunotherapy.
