Bio

Dr. Shamloo attended medical school in Hacettepe University in Ankara Turkey. He completed medical school in 1991and an Internal Medicine residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit Michigan in 1996.? He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Following a six-year practice at Henry Ford as an attending in General Internal Medicine and later in Geriatrics clinic, he moved to Indiana in 2002 and worked clinically as a general internist both as primary care physician and hospitalist at Indiana University Health in Bedford since 2002. In 2025, he was appointed program director for the Indiana University School of Medicine Internal Medicine residency program in Bloomington.

His special interests include serving the underserved population, resident and medical student education, Diabetes and preventative healthcare.? He is married to a Nurse Practitioner, and they have three children. In his spare time, Hojjat enjoys walking, hiking, snorkeling, swimming, fishing, gardening and wood working.
