Bio

Dr. Kvatum is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Family Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine. Originally from Canada, he completed his Honors Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Guelph prior to attending medical school at Trinity School of Medicine. After graduating medical school with honors, he elected to pursue his residency training in Family Medicine at Indiana University in Indianapolis. In addition to obtaining his board certification in Family Medicine, he has also been conferred the degree of Fellow by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Kvatum has also completed additional training in the field of obesity medicine and is now certified as a Diplomat by the American Board of Obesity Medicine. He is currently completing the requirements to obtain board certification by the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. His clinical interests include inpatient medicine, outpatient primary care, metabolic disorders and obesity care. Dr. Kvatum is also passionate about medical education and serves as the course director for the Family Medicine Transitions 3 course for fourth year medical students at Indiana University. In his free time Dr. Kvatum enjoys exploring horology, running, cycling, golfing, watching basketball, and spending time with his two Mini-Australian Shepherds.
