Timothy B. O'Donnell, MD

Bio

Dr. Timothy B. O’Donnell is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the IU School of Medicine-West Lafayette. Dr. O’Donnell earned his BA in 1995, studying Classical Guitar and Renaissance Lute Performance at the University of California at Irvine. He continued at the same university for his master’s degree in Music Composition, completed in 1997. Dr. O’Donnell earned his MD from Indiana University in 2008 and went on to serve his residency in Family Medicine at Franciscan Family Medicine Residency in Indianapolis from 2008-2011. He served as Chief Resident from 2010-2011. Most recently, he completed a Masters of Public Health in 2021.

Dr. O'Donnell is currently the director of the Mind-Body-Medicine elective. He has taught Transitions 1 and 2, Foundations of Clinical Practice 1 and 2, and Mind-Body Medicine at IUSM-WL. He has completed training and board certification for both Lifestyle Medicine and Medical Acupuncture. He currently works as a family physician in Lafayette, IN. and owns his own practice in West Lafayette, dedicated to Lifestyle Medicine. Dr. O’Donnell spends his free time with family, time outdoors, and backpacking though many of our wonderful National Parks.
