Bio
Dr. Moore currently serves as Assistant Professor of Surgery at Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis. Dr. Moore received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine.
His clinical focus is in general surgery, trauma, and surgical critical care and includes minimally invasive acute care surgery, minimally invasive rib fixation, point-of-care ultrasound, and other related areas.
Dr. Moore’s research focus is in early trauma intervention and trauma recidivism reduction. He has served as a contributor to 5 peer-reviewed publications.
Dr. Moore is heavily involved in medical education. Beyond clinical education, he proctors surgical skills labs and hosts student shadowing experiences for learners ranging from high school through medical school. He serves as Resident Ombudsman and Eskenazi Site Director for the Indiana University General Surgery Residency Program and is a member of the Rawls Grant Committee.
Dr. Moore is a member of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, the American Medical Association, the American College of Surgeons, the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma, the Student National Medical Association, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. He serves as Faculty Lead of Service for the IU Chapter of Socially Responsible Surgery.

Dr. Moore's research interests include early trauma intervention and trauma recidivism reduction, with an emphasis on developing novel management strategies to prevent the long-term sequelae associated with traumatic injuries.
Dr. Moore's clinical interests include robotic-assisted acute care surgery, the use of point-of-care ultrasound in acute and critical care, and minimally invasive internal rib fixation.
