Dr. Kons has been at the Department of Family Medicine since 2005. He is currently the Physician Leader, Indiana University Health Physicians Community Medicine Primary Care, a multispecialty, multidisciplinary primary care group caring for 30,000 patients at 40 locations in the Indianapolis metro area. He also serves on the Curriculum Council Steering committee, Indiana University Medical Staff Executive Council for the Academic Health Center, Indiana University Health Physicians Practice Operations Committee, and the Indiana University Health Physicians Primary Care Value Stream Steering Committee. Dr. Kons has served and continues to serve as a Family Medicine Residency didactic lecturer and is also an instructor for the family medicine board review. As a practicing family doctor, Dr. Kons provides full spectrum care including prevention, wellness, chronic disease management, and maternity care.
