Bio
Dr. Deanna Reinoso is Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine. She attended medical school and pediatrics residency at Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Reinoso is a board-certified pediatrician and lifestyle medicine physician with Eskenazi Health at Eskenazi Health Center Pecar in northwest Indianapolis. She additionally serves as Medical Director of Social Determinants of Health at Eskenazi Health. She has enjoyed participating in medical student and resident physician general and community pediatrics education over the past 2 decades.
As Medical Director of Social Determinants of Health, Dr. Reinoso works to strengthen and systematize health partnerships and accelerate efforts to improve community health and address disparities in health outcomes. She strives to integrate social needs care into the delivery of health care by addressing social determinants of health such as food, diaper, transportation and housing insecurities as well as safety, education and access to healthcare. Dr. Reinoso worked with community partners to establish Crooked Creek Food Pantry (CCFP) co-located at Eskenazi Health Center Pecar in 2015 and currently serves as CCFP board of directors president. In 2022 she worked with the Eskenazi Health SDOH team to establish the Fresh for You Market as a grocery store/food pantry hybrid model to provide healthy food options for individuals living in food deserts or experiencing food insecurity. The Crooked Creek Food Pantry, Eskenazi Health Fresh For You Market and urban gardening efforts help provide nutritious food options to those in the community who need assistance. She believes that approaching individuals in a comprehensive, compassionate and holistic manner to address all medical and social needs is essential to the health and well-being of everyone in our community.
