Bio
Dr. Steiner joined the faculty of Indiana University School of Medicine following completion of his fellowship training in 2004. The focus of his professional service has been in general pediatric gastroenterology, with special clinical service and research interest in pediatric inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). He has served in leadership roles within the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology/Hepatology/Nutrition, within the Department of Pediatrics, and in national and international pediatric IBD networks. His efforts have focused on improving the care of IBD patients who are treated within our division, as well as participating in national and international multi-center IBD clinical research and quality improvement networks. By participation in these networks, the care of each of our own pediatric IBD patients and the overall care of our cohort of pediatric IBD patients has improved, and the care of future patients will be improved. With his sustained national roles, he has helped enhance the reputation of both Riley Hospital for Children and Indiana University School of Medicine.
