Bio

Over the last 25 years, my research interest has been on roles of receptor and ion channel signaling in disorders of the nervous system.  Currently, we are focused on understanding how migraine pain pathways are activated acutely by different triggers, including air pollutants and mild traumatic brain injury. We are also analyzing changes which occur at the molecular and cellular level in the progression from acute to chronic migraine symptoms in an animal model.
