Looking to attend your first professional medical conference? Phase 1 and 2 medical students with an interest in family medicine should consider the American Academy of Family Physician's FUTURE conference, being held July 31 to August 2 in Kansas City.

Along with the chance to connect with thousands of peers and residents, you'll engage with family from over 500 residency programs around the country and participate in interactive sessions focused on early professional identity formation and career exploration. For students further along, FUTURE offers the chance to grow your professional network, refine application strategies, and engage with family medicine on a national level.

The conference is part of the AAMC's Careers in Medicine (CiM) track, which provides tailored sessions and workshops that help students explore career interests, understand specialty options, and plan their medical careers. The four-phase CiM model guides the programming, with specific workshops targeting the first two phases of the specialty choice process.
