Bio
Why I chose Family Medicine: I chose family medicine because it aligns with my personality and values. Growing up in a rural community, I saw firsthand how a doctor was often a one-person medical team—expected to handle everything from delivering babies to responding to emergencies. I want to be that kind of physician—one who provides comprehensive care for all ages, builds long-term relationships, and makes a lasting impact on the community. The broad scope, holistic approach, and continuity of care in family medicine make it the perfect fit for me.
Why I chose the IU Family Medicine Residency Program: The IU Family Medicine Residency Program was one of the first programs to interview me, and from the start, it set a standard that no other program could match. While I had the opportunity to interview at multiple places, IU stood out due to its commitment to excellence, the camaraderie among residents, and the shared passion for making a meaningful impact in the community and healthcare. As someone with a scientific background, I was particularly impressed by the attention to detail shown by my interviewers and the program’s dedication to both patient care and education. I am truly honored to be here and excited for the journey ahead.
