Why I chose Family Medicine: I chose Family Medicine because I enjoyed the wide variety of patients that you will see and provide care to. I enjoy being able to see both pediatric and geriatric patients and all ages in between. I also like that Family Medicine allows you to form long-term relationships with patients and provides the ability to provide care to multiple generations in one family.

Why I chose the IU School of Medicine Family Medicine Residency Program at Memorial: As a Jasper native, it has always been my goal to return home to practice medicine. Throughout my search for residency programs, it only made sense to come home for my training! I hope to build a patient panel that I can carry with me once I finish residency. Besides location, the Jasper IUSM program offered the academic resources of a large program being attached to IU, while also providing close-knit community relations and very personalized training opportunities.

Personal interests and hobbies: I enjoy art and painting, traveling, playing sports, and spending time with my friends/family/pets.
