Ashok Tiwari, PhD
Resident Appointee
Bio
Ashok Tiwari is the Chief Medical Physics Resident in the Department of Radiation Oncology at IU Health. He earned his Ph.D. in physics with a concentration in nuclear medicine from the University of Iowa in 2022, followed by a year and a half as a postdoctoral researcher at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. In 2023, he completed his CAMPEP Certificate in Medical Physics from Wake Forest University.
His primary focus is on the physics of cancer treatment, particularly through the application of radiation. His research interests lie at the intersection of radiation physics, radiopharmaceutical therapy, and Monte Carlo simulations. Outside of his professional life, he finds joy in cycling and appreciates the tranquility of nature.
