Nathaniel B. Bode, DO
Resident Appointee
Bio
Why I chose Family Medicine: I chose to pursue a career in Family Medicine because building long-term relationships with patients of all ages, from babies and children to adults, was a top priority for me. I want to have the time to get to know my patients while working with their health needs at a level that impacts their daily lives. Family Medicine also offers the flexibility for me to pursue more specific types of healthcare such as palliative care and primary care for members of the LGBTQ+ population.
Why I chose the IU Family Medicine Residency Program: I spent a month during my 4th year working with the Family Medicine team at Methodist Hospital and was very impressed by both the residents and faculty. I appreciated the culture within the program and felt like I fit in well, so I ranked the program with confidence because I had already had such a great experience on the team.
Interests and hobbies: Watching movies, weightlifting, Stonewall Sports (kickball, volleyball, dodgeball, and bowling), drag shows, card games, and brunch!
Languages I speak fluently: English
