Where did you grow up? 
Beech Grove, IN

What is your medical school/undergraduate background?
Undergrad: Wabash College
Medical School: University of Kentucky

Why are you pursuing a career neurosurgery?
I've been fascinated by the brain as long as I can remember. During my medical and graduate training I learned that I loved the physical challenge of surgery and the potential to make real impact at a critical point in a patient's life.

What intrigued you about IU School of Medicine?
Seeing how well the residents and faculty get along was a huge selling point. Returning to my home city was a major bonus.

What do you want to learn most from the neurosurgery faculty and residents?
I'd like to learn how to effectively balance everything on my plate so that I can do my best in the hospital and also maintain a healthy life at home.

What are some of your hobbies?
I enjoy developing custom cheesecake recipes. I am a huge fan of JRR Tolkien and George RR Martin. I recently started playing golf.
