Bio
Dr. Deal is a Midwesterner to a fault (ope!). She grew up about an hour outside of Indy and stayed for undergrad at IUPUI and med school at IUSM. She is most interested in NICU fellowship after residency. Her passion in medicine is building bridges between non-medical caregivers and families and medical care teams. Dr. Deal believes that when we take time to sit down and explain our thoughts in plain English, we empower families to be active participants in their child’s care. When not at work, she loves spending time with her husband and two Texas heelers (Mocha & Pepper). They love to frequent new restaurants, walk on the Monon trail, and explore new places (you will find them on a cruise exploring new cities as often as possible)!
