Bio

Why I chose Family Medicine: Family medicine incorporates all aspects of healthcare. I thoroughly enjoy getting to know my patients and managing their care. From discussing preventative care to talking about how their kids are doing, this profession lets me do it all. I love being my patient’s primary doctor and the responsibilities that come with it.  I want to be able to get to know my patients and formulate plans on a holistic level based on everyone's individual needs. I chose family medicine because it embodies what I want to achieve in medicine and with my patients.

Why I chose the IU Family Medicine Residency Program: I chose this residency program because of its warm atmosphere, compassionate staff, and excellent medical training. Along with the positive interactions I have had with everyone, the program provides the ability to tailor your own path with its multiple tracks such as sports medicine and colon health. I know this program will provide me the best opportunity to excel as a family medicine physician as well as accomplish my goals.

Interests and hobbies: In my spare time you will find me either out of the country traveling or trying new experiences. I don’t like to sit around unless it is spending time with my friends or family. I also enjoy playing basketball, volleyball, and chess.

Languages I speak fluently: English and Punjabi
