Bio
Dr. Schneider is a native of the Midwest and joined the faculty at IU Health and the Indiana University School of Medicine in 2020 after completing his Med/Peds residency and a combined Med/Peds ID fellowship, both at the IU School of Medicine.
Board-certified in both Adult and Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Dr. Schneider serves as the Medical Director and Co-Lead for Antimicrobial Stewardship at Riley Hospital for Children. His research focuses on quality improvement initiatives designed to improve outcomes and minimize patient harm, drawing on his expertise in infectious diseases and team-oriented leadership in both antimicrobial and diagnostic stewardship. Dr. Schneider is also affiliated with the AMPATH Research Network in Kenya, where he works with the antimicrobial stewardship team at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) to develop effective antibiotic stewardship strategies aimed at combating the global threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
In addition to his research and clinical roles, Dr. Schneider mentors fellows, residents, and medical students nationwide who are pursuing combined adult and pediatric infectious diseases training and careers.
