Bio

Dr. Paul Haste is an interventional radiologist, focusing his career predominantly on the treatment of primary and secondary liver cancer. He currently serves as a Vice Chair in the Department of Radiology, overseeing all procedural radiology. He also serves as the division chief of interventional radiology for the department, overseeing the division’s work throughout the state.

He completed his undergraduate degree from Indiana State University in 2007. He then attended and Indiana University School of Medicine, graduating in 2011. He then went on to complete a diagnostic radiology residency at Indiana University, and completed his subspecialty interventional radiology training at the University of California-San Francisco in 2017. He has been an interventional radiology faculty member here at IU since the completion of his training.

Throughout his career he has focused strongly on interventional oncology and is a member of the IU Simon Cancer Center. He has contributed heavily to multiple different tumor boards here at IU throughout his career and has worked extensively on local, national, and international multidisciplinary research efforts to improve the treatment of patients with both primary and metastatic liver cancer. Spending most of his clinical time at IU Health’s University Hospital, he also has a strong clinical interest and expertise in all hepatobiliary, post-transplant and portal hypertension interventions.
