Bio
I graduated from St George's University School of Medicine in 2018. I completed my internal medicine residency in 2018 at SUNY Upstate in Syracuse, NY and completed my pulmonary and critical care fellowship in 2021 again at SUNY Upstate. I am board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary medicine and board eligible for critical care. Following graduation, I have been working in Bloomington with IU Health. My clinical interests are lung cancer, advanced bronchoscopy, shock and quality improvement.
During training, I was always passionate about graduate and undergraduate medical education. I frequently taught medical students and residents point of care ultrasound and bedside procedure skills. I also gave lectures about various pulmonary and critical care topics. I acted as mock interviewer to prepare medical students and residents for their interviews and helped mentor many during their respective application process. Finally, as a fellow I helped implement one of the few x+y models seen in post-residency training.
Coming out of training, the biggest selling point to relocate to Bloomington was to be further involved in building the new Internal Medicine Residency program. I believe in fostering a collaborative, safe environment for residents to grow into excellent clinicians and leaders in their communities.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my spouse and two kids. I enjoy reading, cooking, grilling, playing and watching sports, and boardgames.
