Bio

Dr. Katie Buel is an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at Indiana University.  She received her medical degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University.  Her residency was completed at Camp Lejeune Family Medicine Residency Program in 2018 as part of the U.S. Navy’s length of training pilot residency program with an OB fellowship built in as part of her residency.  After graduation, she completed a 3-year overseas tour with the U.S. Navy in Iwakuni, Japan.  On arrival back to the US, she served as faculty for the Naval Hospital Jacksonville Family Medicine Residency Program.  She joined Indiana University in 2022 as part of Family Medicine Residency Faculty at IU Health Primary Care Central Indianapolis.  Dr. Buel is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.  She currently practices full scope family medicine, to include operative obstetrics, newborn nursery, inpatient adult family medicine and clinic.
