Bio
Dr. Acharya has been in medical practice since 2014. He worked as a primary care physician and a hospitalist after residency before specializing in rheumatology. Dr. Acharya believes in a shared decision-making approach. He will discuss what options are available and will make decisions together based on best evidence from medical sciences, while at the same time incorporating each patient's goal and beliefs. As a rheumatologist he believes that the treatments available will have an great impact on quality of life for his patients. He is committed to helping patients return to the activities they love. Dr. Acharya likes long distance running. His other interests are hiking, biking, photography, and playing music instruments.
Dr. Acharya received his MD from Manipal college of Medical Sciences in Pokhara, Nepal. He completed his rheumatology fellowship at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis Tennessee. He is board certified in both internal medicine and rheumatology
